IPV is an angel investing platform, founded in 2018, through which 24,000+ members (CXOs, HNIs, premier institution alumni and professionals) pool capital into early-stage startups, with members able to start from INR 1 lakh per startup. It says it is sector and stage agnostic, invests in the founder first, and aims to back strong businesses run by strong founders raising at reasonable valuations. Each deal passes a member selection panel, a founder's call and due diligence led by a lead member who must invest in the deal, and funded startups get mentoring, a single point of contact, B2B access to members' companies, VC showcases and support up to Series A. Members invest directly on the cap table or through FirstPort Capital, a SEBI Category I Angel AIF, or IPV International Fund, a Category I Angel Fund in GIFT City IFSC.
