IIMA Ventures, set up at IIM Ahmedabad in 2002 as a Centre of Excellence with DST and Government of Gujarat support, backs early-stage founders through incubation, acceleration programmes, balance-sheet pre-seed and seed investments, a venture studio and fund incubation. It describes itself as sector agnostic with three themes: deeptech, digitalization and climate tech, and typically invests $100k to $150k per venture at seed while syndicating co-investors from its network. For pre-seed it applies a founder-market fit lens; for seed it also looks for product visibility.
